Rev. Dr. Trisha Smith
Senior Pastor

Trisha is the senior pastor at Faith Lutheran and is responsible for preaching, vision casting, and leadership. She and her husband, Brad and their two children, joined the Faith Family in 2018. She has obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a minor in Marketing, a master’s degree in Adult Education and a minor in Training, a Doctoral degree in Philosophy, Psychology, and Technology, and a Pastoral degree. She was ordained in 2020. She is involved in many ministries such as the Literacy Connection at Washington School, Via De Cristo board, and the Moline Housing Authority Board. In her free time, Trisha enjoys scrapbooking, quilting, reading, watching the White Sox and Green Bay Packers play.
Rev. Dr. Emma Claire Rasoarivonjy
Missions Pastor
Emma Claire Rasoarivonjy is from Madagascar and serves as our Pastor to the Ministry for Missions Abroad or Stateside. She was raised in a Lutheran Family with both grandfathers being Pastors. She is married to Norbert with two daughters Fia an Fano. She earned two degrees in Madagascar:

Bachelor of Sciences in Biology, minor in Math and Chemistry.

Bachelor of Theology, major in Systematic Theology.
She came to the USA for graduate studies and earned three degrees.

Master of Art in Theological Studies, major in Pastoral Care.

Master in Library and Information Sciences, major in Academic Studies.

Doctor of Ministry, major in Leadership.
She was sent as Church representative to different countries in Africa, Asia, Europe & America and ordained at Faith Lutheran Church, LCMC in 2024 as the First Malagasy Woman Lutheran Pastor. (40 years after completing her pastoral diploma from the Regional Lutheran Theological Seminary (STPL) of Ambatofinandrahana). She is committed to leadership and servanthood in God’s Mission.
Dawn Johnson
Contemporary Worship Leader and
Choir Director
Dawn, our Faithfull Praise Band director and Voices of Faith choir director, has been happily married to the drummer of the band, Mark, for 13 1/2 years and has been making music at Faith for over 23 years! She and Mark have four adult children, Dawn's two awesome boys; Brandon and Justin and Mark's wonderful kids; Wendy and Dan. They have six grandchildren, 3 boys and 3 girls ranging in ages from 19 years to 3 weeks old. Besides music, Dawn loves to crochet, put together puzzles, travel, with Dawn and Mark having gone on over 17 "mission trips" aka cruises, and visiting Disney World many times. Dawn has been teaching vocal music for over 30 years, and is currently in her 11th year of teaching choir and show choir at Walcott Intermediate in the Davenport Community School District.

Bev is the Associate Pastor to the Ministry for Pulpit Supply. Bev has a BA in Elementary Education and an MA in Instructional Design and Technology. Her first education-related job was as a Civilian Instructor of Basic Electronics for the Air Force. She met and married her husband Jim while an Apprentice Electrician for ALCOA, later becoming a Journeyman Electrician. After the birth of her second child she became a Curriculum Developer for ALCOA’s Craft Training department. She then became employed by Eastern Iowa Community College in the Hazardous Material Training and Research department where she worked as an Instructional Designer. After she retired she was Lay Pastor for First Lutheran Church in Erie, IL for one year (it has since been disbanded). Bev and Jim have three children, seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and a dog named Paddie. She is presently working on a second Master of Arts in Theological Studies, which is planned for completion in May 2025.

Barbara is a Registered Nurse, obtaining her degree in 1992. In her role as the parish nurse she makes home visits, hospital visits, and nursing home visits to provide pastoral care along with a nursing perspective. In addition, Barbara is available for blood pressure checks, health education, and support on Sunday mornings and during the week. She is married to her husband Ted and has 2 children and 10 grandchildren. In her free time she like to watch the St. Louis Cardinals and cross stitching.
